Electronic Nose
Objective (Work Project): Create a device that can accept the smells coming out of various Ninja products and determine whether they are acceptable in a typical household environment.
Action: Ordered a set of nine generic gas sensors in order to get an understanding of what gases may contribute to negative smells. Found several pumps to facilitate the entrance of clean or odorous air into a chamber built of wood and sealed in silicon to hold pressure.
Result: The Arduino based module successfully alternated air pumps based off of transistor switch circuit and could read and log gas data for every gas sensor in the chamber. Ultimately, it was difficult to determine which specific gases contributed to negative smells and project was deprioritized.
